About Me

Dam_in_Caro_2Hi, I’m Dan and I’ve been living in the United States since 2005.

Preparing for the big move and getting adjusted to the United States comes with a lot of questions. You want to hit the ground running instead of making rookie mistakes. There are plenty of forums and discussion boards about this topic already, however it can be very time consuming to actually find good answers, because there are just so many irrelevant comments and sometimes even hostility on some sites. You probably know what I’m talking about.

My USA blog is trying to help you weed out the nonsense and quickly get to the answers you are looking for. I went through immigration myself and although this doesn’t make me an expert, I am happy to tell you what I’ve learned along the way. My articles are either based on first hand experience or researched on the web and compiled for you with just the facts.

USA travelers will also find plenty of tips on this blog, that I’ve found helpful during my trips through 18 states. Especially if you visit America for the first time, you will find plenty of tips to make your trip enjoyable and stress free.

Thank you to all contributors and guest authors for providing excellent content for other expats and USA travelers. If you would like to become a guest author, too, fill out this form.

I hope you don’t mind my “accent” when you read through my articles. I’m not a professional writer and English is still my second language. Feel free to comment on my posts with any USA related questions you might have. I’ll be happy to help!

Dan

P.S. Check out my sites on Facebook, Pinterest and now even Twitter, where I share a lot of additional tips as well as pictures from my travels and things I experience in the U.S.
